Being one of South African agents of change and development organisation, Moving Ahead Development Agency (MADA) plays a significant role in delivering programs geared towards engineering, technology, women abuse and persons with disabilities to help position this country on the right path for a bright future.
The board and I continue to observe how MADA develops and strengths our communities and inspire lifelong learning in parnership with both private and public sector. This partnership helps us deliver solutions to the big challenges that face South African education system.
In 2016 two new national career and skills development programmes were launched in response to the educational needs. The Boys2Men Technological career path and SAP Africa Coding programmes were launched. In 2017 we launched the Intellect ICT learnership programme in partnership with IN2IT Technology and Nedbank Foundation.
We are proud to add value in the International Day of Persons with Disability. Our organisation has provided disabled learners with Laptops and on-line basic computer course.
Strategic partnership with SAP Africa, IN2IT Technologies, SABC Foundation, Gauteng Basic Education, Department of higher education, Nedbank Foundation, Edu-Profile, Tshwane University of Technology, Royal Bafokeng, Hlanganani ICT, amongst others, is evidence of the way MADA is able to work with the best of the best to achieve high impact outcomes.
I would like to congratulate the MADA Board members, team members, Ambassadors and all of our partners for the excellent performance in 2016/17. I need to encourage the language of coding in schools, because I believe it is the way for the future. A big thank you goes to IN2IT Technologies for helping us to train and employ 20 graduates into the IT Support and Cyber Security. The Boys2Men career path will always be the MADA flagship, it is my brain child and a project that is close my heart.
On behalf of the board of MADA, I would like to acknowledge with appreciation, the continued support of all affiliated partners for having faith in us.
It is an enormous privilege to serve as the Executive Chairman of MADA and to have the constant opportunity of witnessing our vision and mission come alive.
Keep your dream sealed in your own mind and heart; it is putting them into action that counts.
