ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

The ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Exam certifies that a successful candidate has the skills and essential knowledge to develop applications to solve business problems both for their employers and for sharing with the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Target Audience

This exam does not have any specific prerequisites but it is helpful to be a Certified ServiceNow System Administrator. The ServiceNow Application Creation class materials are the basis for this exam. The majority of the Certified Application Developer Exam concepts and questions are covered in the ServiceNow Application Creation class but successful candidates will need ServiceNow application development experience outside of class to be successful. Successful completion of the Scripting in ServiceNow class is also recommended.

Prerequisites

This course is designed to cover the fundamentals, giving you the System Administration knowledge and skills you need to get the most out of your ServiceNow deployment.

  • Determine if an application is a good fit with ServiceNow
  • Design and implement a data model
  • Create modules
  • Create mobile versions of applications
  • Use Application Scope


Section 2 : Application User Interface

  • Create, design, and customize forms
  • Add/Remove fields from forms and tables
  • Write, test, and debug client-side scripts for desktop and mobile
  • Write, test, and debug server-side scripts
  • Use a Record Producer as an application’s UI


Section 3 : Security and Restricting Access

Section 4 : Application Automation

  • Write, test, and debug Workflow
  • Implement and use Document Feeds
  • Create and use Application Properties
  • Create Events, Scheduled Script Executions (Scheduled Jobs), and Utils (application) Script Includes
  • Send and receive email
  • Design and create Homepages and reports


Section 5 : Working with External Data

  • Import data in CSV or Excel format
  • Integrate to, including testing and debugging, an external data source using SOAP
  • Integrate to, including testing and debugging, an external data source using REST


Section 6 : Managing Applications

  • Download and install applications
  • Use Team Development to manage source code versions and code review
  • Use the ServiceNow Git integration to manage source code.
